For veneer and smile design cases, we produce a temporary mock-up of the planned result and fit it in your mouth. You leave with it, live with it, eat and talk and take photographs in it, and come back with changes.
Nothing irreversible happens until you have approved the shape you are going to keep.
Plenty of patients who come in asking for veneers do not need them. Whitening, reshaping an edge, closing a small gap with composite bonding, or straightening the teeth orthodontically can reach the same result while keeping your own enamel.
